Nick McCrory, born on August ninth, nineteen ninety-one, is a distinguished American psychiatrist and former competitive diver. His diving career spanned from two thousand seven to two thousand fourteen, during which he made significant contributions to the sport, including earning a silver medal at the World Junior Championship in two thousand six.
McCrory showcased his talent on the international stage at the two thousand eleven World Aquatics Championships held in Shanghai, China. Partnering with David Boudia, he competed in the synchronized ten-meter platform event, finishing fifth, while also securing sixth place in the individual ten-meter competition.
A proud graduate of East Chapel Hill High School, McCrory furthered his education at Duke University, where he excelled in collegiate diving competitions, winning several medals. Notably, he clinched the gold medal in the ten-meter platform event at the two thousand eleven US National Championships at UCLA on August fourteenth.
In recognition of his remarkable achievements, McCrory was honored by being named to the CSCAA's list of the one hundred greatest swimmers and divers in history. After a successful diving career, he retired in November two thousand fourteen to pursue his passion for medicine.
