Nick Nuyens

Nick Nuyens, born on May fifth, nineteen eighty, is a distinguished Belgian former professional road racing cyclist. He made his mark in the cycling world as a classics rider, showcasing his exceptional talent in prestigious races. Nuyens was a prominent figure in the UCI World Tour, where he last competed for the Garmin–Sharp team.

Throughout his career, Nuyens achieved significant victories, including the semi-classics Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne and Omloop Het Volk, as well as the renowned Paris–Brussels and the classic Tour of Flanders. These wins solidified his reputation as a formidable competitor in the cycling community.

In his personal life, Nuyens was first married to Evy Van Damme, a celebrated Belgian multiple national champion, with whom he shares three children. In two thousand fifteen, he tied the knot with Lynn Peeters. After a successful career, Nuyens announced his retirement in two thousand fifteen, following the challenge of not securing a new contract.
