Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Nico Rosberg

Nico Rosberg, born on June twenty-seventh, nineteen eighty-five, is a distinguished former Formula One driver, entrepreneur, and broadcaster. He holds dual German and Finnish nationality and competed in Formula One from two thousand six to two thousand sixteen, representing Germany. Rosberg achieved remarkable success during his career, winning the Formula One World Drivers' Championship in two thousand sixteen with Mercedes and securing twenty-three Grand Prix victories over eleven seasons.

The only child of Keke Rosberg, the Finnish Formula One World Champion of nineteen eighty-two, and his German wife, Nico was born in Wiesbaden but spent much of his upbringing in Monaco. His passion for racing ignited at the tender age of six when he began karting, quickly rising through the ranks by clinching regional and national French championships. By sixteen, he transitioned to car racing, dominating the Formula BMW ADAC Championship in two thousand two with nine race wins.

Rosberg's journey continued as he entered the Formula 3 Euro Series with Team Rosberg in two thousand three and two thousand four, ultimately winning the inaugural GP2 Series championship in two thousand five with ART Grand Prix. He made his Formula One debut with Williams, where he achieved two podium finishes in two thousand eight before moving to Mercedes in two thousand ten. Partnering with the legendary Michael Schumacher, Rosberg claimed his first career victory at the two thousand twelve Chinese Grand Prix.

From two thousand thirteen to two thousand sixteen, Rosberg raced alongside his former karting friend, Lewis Hamilton, finishing as runner-up to him twice before triumphing in his final season to secure the championship. This achievement made him and his father Keke the second father-son duo, after Graham and Damon Hill, to both win World Drivers' Championships.

Just five days after winning the title, Rosberg announced his retirement from racing, citing a desire to spend more time with his family and concerns about his driving skills. Over his career, he participated in two hundred six Grands Prix, achieving twenty-three wins, thirty pole positions, twenty fastest laps, and fifty-seven podium finishes. Following retirement, Rosberg ventured into driver management, television punditry, and eco-entrepreneurship, earning accolades such as the Laureus World Sports Award for Breakthrough of the Year and induction into the FIA Hall of Fame in two thousand seventeen.
