Nicolae Ciucă, born on February seventh, nineteen sixty-seven, is a distinguished former Romanian politician and a retired general of the Romanian Land Forces. His military career is marked by significant participation in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, showcasing his commitment to national and international security.
Ideologically aligned with conservative principles, Ciucă served as the Prime Minister of Romania from November twenty-fifth, twenty twenty-one, until June twelfth, twenty twenty-three. His tenure was characterized by broad parliamentary support, notably from his own party, the National Liberal Party (PNL), as well as the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the Democratic Alliance of Hungarians in Romania (UDMR/RMDSZ).
Before his premiership, Ciucă held several key military and governmental positions, including Chief of the Romanian General Staff from twenty fifteen to twenty nineteen and Minister of Defence from twenty nineteen to twenty twenty-one. He briefly acted as caretaker of the Romanian government in December twenty twenty, following the resignation of former Prime Minister Ludovic Orban.

Following his resignation as Prime Minister, Ciucă continued to play a significant role in Romanian politics, having served as the president of the National Liberal Party (PNL) from April tenth, twenty twenty-two, until his resignation on November twenty-fifth, twenty twenty-four.
