Nicole Arendt

Nicole J. Arendt, born on August 26, 1969, in Somerville, New Jersey, is a retired American professional tennis player renowned for her remarkable achievements in doubles. A left-hander, Arendt made her mark on the WTA Tour, reaching her highest singles ranking of forty-ninth in the world on June 16, 1997, and achieving a career-high doubles ranking of third on August 25, 1997.

Arendt's journey in tennis began at the Hun School of Princeton, where she honed her skills before receiving an athletic scholarship to the University of Florida. There, she played for the Florida Gators women's tennis team from nineteen eighty-eight to nineteen ninety-one, contributing significantly to the team's success as they finished as NCAA national championship runners-up in nineteen eighty-eight and nineteen ninety. Her outstanding performance earned her eight All-American honors during her collegiate career.

Turning professional in nineteen ninety-one, Arendt's career highlights include reaching the finals of the prestigious Wimbledon Championships in nineteen ninety-seven alongside partner Manon Bollegraf. Additionally, she was a mixed doubles finalist at both the Australian Open and French Open in nineteen ninety-six, partnering with Luke Jensen. Over her career, she secured a total of sixteen doubles titles.

In recognition of her contributions to the sport, Arendt was inducted into the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame in two thousand one. She completed her education at the university, graduating with a bachelor's degree in public relations in two thousand three.
