Nicole Fessel

Nicole Fessel, born on March 19, 1983, is a distinguished former cross-country skier from Germany. Her competitive journey spanned from 2000 to 2018, during which she made significant contributions to the sport.

Fessel achieved remarkable success in the World Cup circuit, securing a second-place finish on two occasions: once in the team sprint event in 2009 and again in the 4 × 5 km relay in March 2010. Her individual prowess was highlighted by a notable second-place finish in Switzerland in 2014.

Throughout her career, Fessel represented Germany in two Winter Olympics, with her best performance being a seventeenth-place finish in the individual sprint event at the Vancouver Games in 2010. Additionally, she competed at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, where she achieved her best results of fifteenth place in the sprint events in both 2007 and 2009.

After nearly two decades of dedication to cross-country skiing, Nicole Fessel announced her retirement in September 2019, leaving behind a legacy of determination and excellence in the sport.
