Nicoleta Grasu

Lenuţa Nicoleta Grasu, born on September 11, 1971, in Secuieni, Romania, is a distinguished retired discus thrower. Originally named Nicoleta Grădinaru, she adopted her married name after tying the knot with fellow athlete Costel Grasu. Her journey in athletics has been marked by significant achievements and a passion for the sport.

Grasu's athletic prowess shone brightly at the World Championships, where she secured medals in both nineteen ninety-nine and two thousand one. Although her subsequent years saw a lull in international accolades, she demonstrated resilience by finishing sixth at the 2004 Summer Olympics and fifth at the 2005 World Championships.

In a triumphant return to form, Nicoleta clinched a bronze medal at the European Championships in two thousand six, reaffirming her status as a formidable competitor.
