His career took off as the house engineer at RAK Studios in London, where he honed his skills under the guidance of renowned producer John Leckie. It was during this formative period that he first collaborated with the iconic band Radiohead, engineering their critically acclaimed second album, The Bends, in nineteen ninety-five.

Godrich's partnership with Radiohead blossomed when they entrusted him with the production of their groundbreaking album, OK Computer, released in nineteen ninety-seven. This project not only garnered immense commercial success but also positioned Godrich as a sought-after producer among major artists. He has since produced all of Radiohead's albums, as well as numerous projects with band members Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood.
