Niki de Saint Phalle, born Catherine Marie-Agnès Fal de Saint Phalle on October twenty-ninth, nineteen thirty, was a pioneering French American artist known for her vibrant sculptures, paintings, and films. Her artistic journey began after a tumultuous childhood and an early marriage that led to the birth of two children. Embracing a naïve and experimental style, she first gained international recognition for her provocative assemblages, which were created using firearms. This bold approach eventually evolved into her iconic Nanas—whimsical, large-scale sculptures that celebrate femininity and joy.

One of her most significant contributions to the art world is the Tarot Garden, a sprawling sculpture garden filled with her imaginative creations, some as large as houses.
