Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Nikola Gruevski

Nikola Gruevski, born on August thirty-first, nineteen seventy, is a notable figure in Macedonian politics, having served as the Prime Minister of Macedonia from two thousand six until his resignation in two thousand sixteen. His tenure was marked by significant political events, including the implementation of the Pržino Agreement, which was a response to the political crisis in the country. Gruevski led the VMRO-DPMNE party from two thousand four to two thousand seventeen, making him the longest-serving prime minister in Macedonia's post-independence history, with over nine years in office.

During his leadership, Gruevski was known for initiating the controversial identity politics movement termed 'antiquization' and for overseeing the ambitious Skopje 2014 project. However, his administration faced criticism for contributing to democratic backsliding, with many labeling his regime as authoritarian. Notably, his government was implicated in the illegal wiretapping of approximately twenty thousand individuals, raising serious concerns about civil liberties in the nation.

In May two thousand eighteen, Gruevski was sentenced to two years in prison on corruption charges. However, in November of the same year, he fled to Hungary, where he was granted political asylum. His legal troubles continued, as he has also been convicted in absentia, further complicating his legacy in Macedonian politics.
