Nikolaos Trikoupis

Nikolaos Trikoupis, born in 1868, was a distinguished Greek military officer and politician whose legacy is marked by his significant contributions during the Greco-Turkish War of 1919–1922. His bravery and leadership were put to the test during this tumultuous period, where he ultimately faced the hardships of being taken as a prisoner of war.

In addition to his military endeavors, Trikoupis was also an accomplished sport shooter. He showcased his skills on an international stage at the 1896 Summer Olympics, where he earned a commendable third place in the military rifle event.
