Nikša Dobud

Nikša Dobud, born on August 5, 1985, is a prominent Croatian water polo player known for his impressive stature and athletic prowess. Standing at six feet seven inches tall and weighing two hundred seventy-six pounds, he has made a significant impact in the world of water polo.

His career reached a notable peak when he represented the Croatia men's national water polo team at the 2012 Summer Olympics, showcasing his skills on an international stage. However, his journey has not been without challenges.

In 2015, Dobud faced a setback when he received a four-year suspension for attempting to evade a FINA drug test. This period of absence from the sport concluded in April 2019, after which he made a strong return to competitive water polo.

Upon the end of his suspension, Dobud signed a contract with the prestigious Italian water polo club Pro Recco, marking a new chapter in his career. Additionally, he expressed intentions to play for the Maltese club San Giljan during the summer, further expanding his horizons in the sport.
