Her remarkable journey in the world of chess began with her earning the prestigious title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM) in nineteen ninety-three, followed by the International Master (IM) title in nineteen ninety-nine.
Throughout her career, Khurtsidze has achieved significant milestones, including winning the World Girls U-20 Chess Championship not once, but twice, in nineteen ninety-three and nineteen ninety-five. Her early success was further highlighted by her victory in the World Girls U-16 Chess Championship in nineteen ninety-one, held in Guarapuava, Brazil.
In addition to her international accolades, Khurtsidze made history by winning the Men's Georgian Chess Championship in nineteen ninety-eight, becoming the only female player from Georgia to achieve this feat.
