Nino Khurtsidze

Nino Khurtsidze, born on September twenty-eighth, nineteen seventy-five, is a distinguished Georgian chess player and athlete. Her remarkable journey in the world of chess began with her earning the prestigious title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM) in nineteen ninety-three, followed by the International Master (IM) title in nineteen ninety-nine.

Throughout her career, Khurtsidze has achieved significant milestones, including winning the World Girls U-20 Chess Championship not once, but twice, in nineteen ninety-three and nineteen ninety-five. Her early success was further highlighted by her victory in the World Girls U-16 Chess Championship in nineteen ninety-one, held in Guarapuava, Brazil.

In addition to her international accolades, Khurtsidze made history by winning the Men's Georgian Chess Championship in nineteen ninety-eight, becoming the only female player from Georgia to achieve this feat. She has also claimed the women's Georgian championship title five times, with victories in nineteen eighty-nine, nineteen ninety-three, two thousand five, two thousand six, and two thousand thirteen.
