Nisha Ayub

Nisha Ayub, born on April fifth, nineteen seventy-nine, is a prominent Malaysian activist dedicated to advocating for the rights of women, the LGBTQ community, and transgender individuals. Her work has significantly impacted the lives of many, particularly within the realm of transgender sex workers.

As a co-founder of the SEED Foundation, Nisha has played a crucial role in fostering a supportive community for marginalized groups. Additionally, she spearheads the grassroots campaign Justice for Sisters, which aims to address the injustices faced by transgender individuals in Malaysia.

In recognition of her tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to human rights, Nisha was honored with the International Women of Courage Award in two thousand sixteen. This prestigious accolade highlights her influence and dedication to creating a more equitable society.
