Nobuhiro Watsuki, born on May 26, 1970, is a renowned Japanese manga artist, celebrated for his captivating storytelling and intricate illustrations. He gained widespread acclaim for his iconic series, Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story, which ran from nineteen ninety-four to nineteen ninety-nine and has sold over seventy million copies worldwide. This remarkable work not only solidified his place in the manga industry but also paved the way for a sequel, Rurouni Kenshin: The Hokkaido Arc, which he continues to develop since its inception in two thousand seventeen.

In addition to Rurouni Kenshin, Watsuki has created several other notable manga series, including Gun Blaze West, which debuted in two thousand one, Buso Renkin from two thousand three to two thousand five, and Embalming: The Another Tale of Frankenstein, which ran from two thousand seven to two thousand fifteen.
