Noe Zhordania, born on January second, eighteen sixty-eight, was a prominent Georgian journalist and a key figure in the Menshevik political movement. His contributions to the socialist revolutionary movement within the Russian Empire were significant, marking him as a notable leader during a tumultuous period in history.
Zhordania's political career reached its zenith when he chaired the government of the Democratic Republic of Georgia from July twenty-fourth, nineteen eighteen, until March eighteenth, nineteen twenty-one. His leadership during this time was crucial as Georgia navigated its independence amidst the chaos of the post-World War I landscape.
However, the Bolshevik invasion by the Russian Red Army in nineteen twenty-one forced Zhordania into exile in France. Despite the challenges of exile, he continued to lead the government-in-exile, advocating for Georgian independence and the rights of his people until his passing in nineteen fifty-three.
