Known for his dark and surreal comedic style, Fielding has also carved out a successful career as a stand-up comedian.

Fielding's journey into comedy began after he graduated from art school in nineteen ninety-five. His first encounter with Barratt occurred in nineteen ninety-seven when they shared a comedy bill at a pub in north London. By nineteen ninety-eight, they had launched their first comedy show together in London, which later evolved into The Mighty Boosh, showcased at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival that same year. They returned to the festival in nineteen ninety-nine with Arctic Boosh and in two thousand with Autoboosh.

The Mighty Boosh transitioned to a six-part radio show on BBC London Live in two thousand one, later moving to BBC Radio four. The television adaptation premiered in two thousand four on BBC Three, running for three series until two thousand seven, and it quickly garnered a cult following, earning numerous awards.

In addition to his work with The Mighty Boosh, Fielding portrayed Richmond in the Channel 4 sitcom The IT Crowd from two thousand six to two thousand thirteen. He also created and starred in his own Channel 4 comedy show, Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy, from two thousand twelve to two thousand fourteen. As a team captain on the BBC Two panel show Never Mind the Buzzcocks, he entertained audiences from two thousand nine to two thousand fifteen and returned in twenty twenty-one.

Since two thousand seventeen, Fielding has co-hosted the Channel 4 baking competition The Great British Bake Off. In twenty twenty-four, he took on the role of Dick Turpin in the Apple TV+ comedy series The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin. Beyond his television and comedy career, Fielding is also a talented visual artist, exhibiting his work internationally, and a musician with the band Loose Tapestries.
