Norman Kwong

Norman Kwong, born on October twenty-four, nineteen twenty-nine, was a trailblazer in Canadian sports and politics. As a professional football player, he made his mark in the Canadian Football League, playing for both the Calgary Stampeders and the Edmonton Eskimos. His athletic prowess and dedication to the game earned him recognition as the first Canadian professional football player of Chinese heritage.

Beyond his achievements on the field, Kwong was a successful entrepreneur and a prominent figure in the business community. He was part owner of the Calgary Flames, showcasing his commitment to the growth of sports in Canada. His influence extended into politics when he was appointed as the sixteenth lieutenant governor of Alberta, serving from January two thousand five to May two thousand ten.
