Normand Baron

Normand Baron, born on December 15, 1957, in Verdun, Quebec, is a retired Canadian ice hockey player whose career spanned the mid-1980s. He made a notable impact in the National Hockey League, playing a total of 27 games with two prestigious teams: the Montreal Canadiens and the St. Louis Blues.

Baron's journey in sports began in junior hockey with the Montreal Jr. Canadiens during the 1976-77 season. However, he took a hiatus from hockey to pursue a career in bodybuilding, showcasing his athletic versatility. In 1983, he made a triumphant return to the ice, signing a contract with the Montreal Canadiens, which marked the beginning of his professional hockey career.

After his time with the Canadiens, Baron was traded to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for cash. His tenure with the Blues saw him participate in 23 games before he was reassigned to the minors. Ultimately, Baron decided to retire at the end of the season, concluding a unique chapter in his athletic career.
