Norovyn Altankhuyag

Norovyn Altankhuyag, born on January twentieth, nineteen fifty-eight, is a prominent Mongolian politician who served as the twenty-seventh Prime Minister of Mongolia from two thousand twelve to two thousand fourteen. His political career is marked by his election as a member of the State Great Khural five times, and he is currently serving his second term as a Member of Parliament since two thousand twenty.

In addition to his role as Prime Minister, Altankhuyag was elected Chairman of the Democratic Party by the party's National Policy Committee, a position he held from two thousand eight until his resignation in two thousand fourteen. His political influence extended further when he served as the First Deputy Prime Minister in a coalition government with the Mongolian People's Party and the Democratic Party from two thousand eight to two thousand twelve.

Before ascending to these high-ranking positions, Altankhuyag held significant ministerial roles, including Minister of Agriculture and Industry from nineteen ninety-six to two thousand and Minister of Finance from two thousand four to two thousand six. His expertise in governance was further recognized when he served as a senior advisor to the President of Mongolia, Khaltmaagiin Battulga, from two thousand seventeen until his resignation in early two thousand nineteen.
