NoViolet Bulawayo

NoViolet Bulawayo, born Elizabeth Zandile Tshele on October twelfth, nineteen eighty-one, is a distinguished Zimbabwean author whose literary contributions have garnered international acclaim. Her journey as a writer began with her debut novel, We Need New Names, which was shortlisted for the prestigious Booker Prize in two thousand thirteen, marking her as a significant voice in contemporary literature.

In recognition of her talent, the National Book Foundation honored her as a "5 Under 35" honoree in two thousand twelve. This accolade highlighted her potential and impact on the literary world at a young age. Furthermore, in two thousand fourteen, New African magazine recognized her as one of the Top one hundred most influential Africans, underscoring her influence beyond the realm of literature.

Bulawayo's second novel, Glory, further solidified her place in literary history by being shortlisted for the Booker Prize in two thousand twenty-two.
