Nujood Ali

Nujood Ali, born on June seventeenth, nineteen ninety-eight, is a remarkable writer and a pivotal figure in Yemen's fight against forced and child marriage. At the tender age of ten, she made headlines by obtaining a divorce, defying deep-rooted tribal traditions that often bind young girls into early marriages.

Her courageous stand against these oppressive practices garnered international attention, leading to her recognition as Woman of the Year by Glamour magazine in November two thousand eight.
