Nurfitriyana Saiman

Nurfitriyana Saiman, born on March seventh, nineteen sixty-two, is a distinguished retired Indonesian archer who has made significant contributions to the sport both as an athlete and a coach. Her remarkable journey in archery began in the 1980s, where she showcased her talent by winning multiple medals in individual recurve events at the Southeast Asian Games.

One of the highlights of Saiman's career came during the 1988 Olympics, where she, alongside teammates Lilies Handayani and Kusuma Wardhani, achieved a historic milestone by securing the first-ever Olympic medal for Indonesia—a silver in the team event. This achievement not only marked a significant moment in her career but also in the history of Indonesian sports.

In addition to her team success, Saiman competed in both individual and team events at the 1992 and 1996 Olympics, with her best individual performance being a commendable ninth place finish in the nineteen eighty-eight games. Her dedication and skill have left a lasting impact on the sport.
