Obituary, an iconic American death metal band, emerged from Tampa, Florida, in nineteen eighty-four. Originally known as Executioner, they played a pivotal role in shaping the death metal genre, establishing themselves as one of its most successful acts.

Throughout their career, Obituary has released eleven studio albums, showcasing their relentless creativity and dedication to the craft. Despite a five-year hiatus from nineteen ninety-eight to two thousand three, the band has continued to captivate audiences with their powerful live performances.

The current lineup features the dynamic talents of vocalist John Tardy, drummer Donald Tardy, rhythm guitarist Trevor Peres, bassist Terry Butler, and lead guitarist Ken Andrews.
