Ognjen Vranješ, born on October twenty-fourth, nineteen eighty-nine, is a former professional footballer from Bosnia and Herzegovina, renowned for his role as a centre-back. His football journey began at Borac Banja Luka, where he honed his skills before making a significant move to Red Star Belgrade in two thousand nine.
In the early stages of his career, Vranješ experienced loan spells at Napredak Kruševac and Sheriff Tiraspol in two thousand ten. His career then took him to Russia, where he played for Krasnodar and Spartak Vladikavkaz, before venturing to Turkey to represent Elazığspor and Gaziantepspor. In two thousand sixteen, he signed with Sporting Gijón, later transitioning to Tom Tomsk and then AEK Athens.
Vranješ's career continued to flourish as he joined Anderlecht, who subsequently loaned him back to AEK Athens in two thousand nineteen and to Charleroi in two thousand twenty-one. He returned to AEK Athens later that year and, in two thousand twenty-two, he joined Hatayspor. A year later, he made a move to Čukarički.
