Oksana Baiul

Oksana Baiul, born on November sixteenth, nineteen seventy-seven, is a celebrated Ukrainian retired competitive figure skater. She made history by becoming the first Olympic Champion from Ukraine to compete under the Ukrainian flag, achieving this remarkable feat at the 1994 Winter Olympics where she won the gold medal in ladies' singles. Baiul's victory marked her as the second skater from Ukraine to secure gold at the Winter Olympics, following Viktor Petrenko's triumph in nineteen ninety-two.
