Oleksandr Moroz

Oleksandr Moroz, born on February twenty-ninth, nineteen forty-four, is a prominent Ukrainian politician, mechanical engineer, and educator. His political career is marked by significant leadership roles, including two terms as the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, from nineteen ninety-four to nineteen ninety-eight and again from two thousand six to two thousand seven.

As one of the founding figures of the Socialist Party of Ukraine, Moroz played a crucial role in shaping the political landscape of the country during a transformative period. The Socialist Party, once a significant force in Ukrainian politics, was led by Moroz, who was instrumental in advocating for social justice and reform.

Despite his influential position, Moroz faced challenges in the political arena. In the two thousand seven snap parliamentary election, the Socialist Party fell short of the necessary votes, securing only two point eighty-six percent, which was insufficient to meet the three percent election threshold.
