Olga Pall

Olga Pall, born on December third, nineteen forty-seven, is a distinguished former alpine skier from Austria. She made her mark in the world of skiing by clinching the gold medal in the downhill event at the 1968 Winter Olympics held in Grenoble, a feat that solidified her status as one of the sport's elite athletes.

Throughout her career, Pall achieved notable success, including two World Cup victories in the downhill discipline. Her prowess on the slopes was evident, and she quickly became a celebrated figure in alpine skiing.

After retiring from competitive skiing at the conclusion of the nineteen sixty-nine to seventy season, Pall transitioned into a role as a physiotherapist, contributing her expertise to the Austrian Olympic ski team during the 1980 and 1984 Olympics. Her commitment to the sport continued as she served as vice-president of the Austrian Ski Federation from nineteen ninety to two thousand two, later being honored as its honorary president.

In recognition of her contributions to sports, Pall was named the Austrian Sportswoman of the Year in nineteen sixty-eight and received a gold medal for her services to the country in nineteen ninety-six. She is married to Ernst Scartezzini, who is also an accomplished alpine skier and a prominent figure in skiing administration.
