Olimpiu Moruțan, born on April 25, 1999, is a talented Romanian professional footballer known for his versatility as an attacking midfielder and winger. Currently, he showcases his skills at Liga I club Rapid București and represents the Romania national team.
His football journey began at Universitatea Cluj, where he honed his craft as a youth player. Moruțan made his senior debut in early 2016 and quickly established himself in the Romanian top tier. Over the next few seasons, he accumulated more than one hundred and forty appearances while playing for both Botoșani and FCSB.
At the age of twenty-two, Moruțan took a significant step in his career by moving abroad to join Galatasaray in Turkey, marking a new chapter in his professional life.
On the international stage, Moruțan represented Romania at the under-21 level during the 2021 UEFA European Championship. He made his full debut for the senior national team in October of the same year, contributing to a memorable one-nil victory against Armenia.
