Oluseyi Smith

Oluseyi Smith, born on February twenty-first, nineteen eighty-seven, is a remarkable athlete who has made significant contributions to both athletics and bobsledding. Originally from Nigeria, he later became a Canadian citizen, showcasing his talents on the international stage.

Smith's athletic journey reached a pivotal moment during the 2012 Summer Olympics, where he competed in the four by one hundred meter relay. Alongside his teammates Jared Connaughton, Gavin Smellie, and Justyn Warner, the Canadian team initially celebrated a third-place finish. However, their joy was short-lived as they were disqualified due to a lane violation by Connaughton, resulting in Trinidad and Tobago being awarded the bronze medal.

Six years later, Smith transitioned to winter sports, participating in the 2018 Winter Olympics as a bobsledder. He joined forces with teammates Justin Kripps, Jesse Lumsden, and Alexander Kopacz in the four-man bobsleigh competition. The Canadian team demonstrated their skill and determination, finishing in sixth place with a time of three minutes, sixteen seconds, and sixty-nine milliseconds.
