Omar Al Somah

Omar Al Somah, born on March twenty-third, nineteen eighty-nine, is a prominent Syrian professional footballer renowned for his role as a striker. Currently, he plays for the Saudi Pro League club Al-Hazem and represents the Syria national team. His nickname, Al ʿAggied, pays homage to a historical figure from Damascus, symbolizing courage, generosity, and a spirit of resistance.

Al Somah's football journey began at the local club Al-Futowa, where he honed his skills before making a significant move to the Kuwaiti side Qadsia in two thousand eleven. His career took a remarkable turn in July two thousand fourteen when he joined Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, where he quickly established himself as a formidable striker.

During his tenure at Al-Ahli, Al Somah achieved remarkable success, becoming the league's top goalscorer in two thousand fifteen, two thousand sixteen, and two thousand seventeen.
