Omar El Turk

Omar El Turk, born on September 30, 1981, in Beirut, Lebanon, is a retired Lebanese Canadian basketball player renowned for his contributions to the Lebanon national basketball team. His journey in basketball began early, influenced by his mother, who was also a basketball player. This familial connection to the sport laid the foundation for his successful career.

Throughout his career, El Turk showcased his skills on the international stage, representing Lebanon in three Asian championships. His remarkable performances helped the team secure silver medals at both the FIBA Asia Championship in two thousand five and two thousand seven. Additionally, he made a significant impact at the 2006 FIBA World Championship, where Lebanon achieved a national-best record of two wins and three losses.

In addition to his international achievements, El Turk played for Byblos Sporting Club, further solidifying his status in the basketball community. His dedication to the sport and his country has made him a respected figure in Lebanese basketball.
