Omar M. Yaghi, born on February ninth, nineteen sixty-five, is a distinguished chemist renowned for his groundbreaking contributions to the field of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) and the innovative domain of reticular chemistry. His pioneering work in these areas has garnered him significant recognition, culminating in the prestigious Nobel Prize in Chemistry in twenty twenty-five, which he shared with esteemed colleagues Richard Robson and Susumu Kitagawa.
Currently, Yaghi holds the esteemed position of University Professor and James and Neeltje Tretter Endowed Chair in Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley.
