Omari Ishmael Grandberry, known to the world as Omarion, was born on November 12, 1984. He is an accomplished American R&B and pop singer, songwriter, dancer, and actor. Omarion first gained fame as the lead vocalist of the boy band B2K, which was formed in 1998 under the management of Chris Stokes. The group quickly rose to prominence in the early 2000s, delivering hit singles such as 'Gots ta Be', 'Uh Huh', 'Girlfriend', and the chart-topping 'Bump, Bump, Bump' featuring P. Diddy.
Following B2K's disbandment in 2004, Omarion launched a successful solo career, signing with Epic Records. His debut album, 'O', released in two thousand five, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 and included the hit single 'O', which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album. The lead single 'Post to Be', featuring Chris Brown and Jhené Aiko, peaked at number thirteen on the Billboard Hot 100 and achieved sextuple platinum certification from the RIAA.
In addition to his music career, Omarion has made a name for himself in acting, appearing in films such as 'You Got Served', 'Fat Albert', 'Somebody Help Me', and 'The Proud Family Movie'.
