Omer Beriziky, born on September ninth, nineteen fifty, is a prominent Malagasy politician and diplomat. He served as the Prime Minister of Madagascar from November two, two thousand eleven, to January twenty, two thousand fourteen, during a period of political consensus under President Andry Rajoelina.

Hailing from the northern region of Madagascar, Beriziky has a rich academic background as a history professor. His diplomatic career includes a significant tenure as Madagascar's Ambassador to the European Union and Benelux from nineteen ninety-five to two thousand six, where he represented his country on the international stage.

A member of the LEADER Fanilo political party, Beriziky was appointed Prime Minister on October twenty-eight, two thousand eleven, following a proposal from the party of former President Albert Zafy. His leadership came at a crucial time for Madagascar, and he took office just a few days later, on November two, two thousand eleven.

After the elections in two thousand thirteen, Beriziky was succeeded by Roger Kolo, who was appointed by the newly elected president, Hery Rajaonarimampianina. Beriziky's contributions to Madagascar's political landscape continue to be recognized as part of the country's complex history.
