Oriana Fallaci

Oriana Fallaci, born on June twenty-ninth, nineteen twenty-nine, was an Italian journalist and author renowned for her fearless reporting from war zones and her incisive interviews with global leaders. As a teenager, she joined the Italian resistance movement during World War II, an experience that shaped her perspective and fueled her passion for journalism.

Throughout her illustrious career, Fallaci gained international acclaim for her coverage of conflicts and revolutions, particularly during the tumultuous decades of the sixties, seventies, and eighties. Her interviews, characterized by their long, aggressive, and revealing nature, included conversations with prominent figures such as Indira Gandhi, Golda Meir, and Henry Kissinger. The latter described his encounter with Fallaci as the most disastrous conversation he ever had with a member of the press.

Fallaci's book, 'Interview with History,' showcases her remarkable ability to engage with influential leaders, providing readers with unique insights into their thoughts and motivations.
