Óscar García (footballer, born 1973)

Óscar García Junyent, born on April twenty-six, nineteen seventy-three, is a distinguished Spanish former professional footballer and current caretaker manager of Eredivisie club Ajax. Known simply as Óscar during his playing days, he was a versatile attacking player, adept at both the attacking midfielder and second striker roles.

His professional career spanned fourteen years, with the majority of his impact felt at FC Barcelona. Throughout his time in La Liga, he made a total of one hundred sixty-nine appearances, scoring thirty-one goals over twelve seasons. In addition to Barcelona, Óscar also played for Espanyol for four years, as well as Albacete, Valencia, and Lleida, each for one season.

Transitioning to management in two thousand nine, Óscar has since worked across eight countries, showcasing his coaching prowess. His notable achievements include winning the Israeli Premier League with Maccabi Tel Aviv and securing two consecutive Bundesliga and Cup doubles with Red Bull Salzburg.
