Oscar Ruggeri

Oscar Ruggeri, born on January twenty-sixth, nineteen sixty-two, is a distinguished former Argentine professional footballer renowned for his role as a centre-back. Affectionately nicknamed El Cabezón, which translates to 'The Big-head One,' Ruggeri's career is marked by significant achievements on both national and international stages.

Ruggeri's prowess on the field was instrumental in securing victories for the Argentina national team, including the prestigious 1986 FIFA World Cup, two Copa América titles, and the 1992 FIFA Confederations Cup. His club career was highlighted by a successful tenure at River Plate, where he played a pivotal role in winning the 1986 Copa Libertadores, the club's first title in this tournament, along with the 1986 Copa Interamericana and the Intercontinental Cup.
