Osroes II

Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Osroes II

Osroes II, also known as Chosroes II or Khosrow II, emerged as a notable figure in the tumultuous landscape of the Parthian Empire around the year one hundred ninety. His claim to the throne, however, remains shrouded in mystery, as historical records provide scant information about his life and reign.

Despite the lack of detailed accounts, Osroes II is primarily remembered through the coins he issued during his brief period of authority. These artifacts serve as a testament to his existence and suggest that he held some level of control over the region, particularly Media, as indicated by the minting location at Ecbatana.

His reign appears to have been marked by conflict, as he is believed to have rebelled against Vologases IV. However, his efforts to establish a lasting rule were ultimately thwarted by Vologases V, leading to his obscurity in the annals of history.
