Ott Tänak

Ott Tänak, born on October fifteenth, nineteen eighty-seven, is a distinguished Estonian rally driver renowned for his remarkable achievements in the World Rally Championship. Most recently, he competed for the Hyundai World Rally Team, showcasing his exceptional skills and determination on the global stage.

His partnership with co-driver Martin Järveoja began in the twenty seventeen season and continued until Tänak's retirement in twenty twenty-five. Together, they celebrated significant milestones, including Tänak's crowning as the World Rally Champion in two thousand nineteen, where he secured his first title with Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT, dominating the season with six victories.

With a total of twenty-two world rally wins, Tänak ranks eighth on the all-time list, a testament to his consistency and prowess in the sport. The duo achieved their first world rally victory at the twenty seventeen Rally Italia Sardegna while driving for M-Sport Ford, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey.

Tänak's historic drivers' world title made him the first Estonian to achieve this honor, as well as the first non-Frenchman to win since Petter Solberg in two thousand three. He also became the first Toyota driver to claim the championship since Didier Auriol in nineteen ninety-four.
