Otto Pérez Molina

Otto Pérez Molina, born on December first, nineteen fifty, is a notable Guatemalan politician and retired general. He served as the forty-eighth president of Guatemala from two thousand twelve to two thousand fifteen. Initially, he stood as the candidate for the Patriotic Party in the two thousand seven presidential election but faced defeat. However, he successfully won the presidency in the two thousand eleven elections.

Before his political career, Pérez Molina held significant military positions during the nineteen nineties. He was the Director of Military Intelligence and served as the Presidential Chief of Staff under President Ramiro de León Carpio. Additionally, he played a crucial role as the chief military representative during the Guatemalan Peace Accords.
