Oussama Assaidi, born on August 15, 1988, is a former Moroccan footballer renowned for his skills as a winger. His journey in professional football began in the Netherlands, where he initially joined AZ. However, after not securing a contract with the club, he continued his development at FC Omniworld and later De Graafschap.
In 2009, Assaidi made a significant leap in his career by signing with Heerenveen. His impressive performances at the Abe Lenstra Stadion not only garnered attention from larger European clubs but also earned him a spot on the Morocco national team, marking the beginning of his international career.
In August 2012, Assaidi took a bold step by signing with the English Premier League club Liverpool for a transfer fee of two million four hundred thousand pounds. Despite the high expectations, he faced challenges in securing a regular place in the first team. This led to a loan move to Stoke City for the 2013–14 and 2014–15 seasons.
In January 2015, Assaidi transitioned to Al-Ahli Dubai, concluding his time in European football. A full international since 2011, he proudly represented Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations in both 2012 and 2013, showcasing his talent on a continental stage.
