Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Ovidiu Cernăuțeanu

Ovidiu Cernăuțeanu, known by his stage names Ovi Martin, Ovi Jacobsen, or simply Ovi, was born on August twenty-third, nineteen seventy-four. Raised in Botoșani, Romania, he made a significant move to Norway in nineteen ninety-five, where he would later rise to fame as a singer and songwriter.

His musical journey began to gain traction in Norway with his participation in the Melodi Grand Prix in two thousand six, where he showcased the song 'The Better Side of Me.' Although he did not qualify for the final, his persistence paid off when he became a finalist in the two thousand nine edition with 'Seven Seconds,' ultimately losing to the talented Alexander Rybak.

In two thousand ten, Ovi partnered with Paula Seling for the Selecția Națională, winning with their dynamic duet 'Playing with Fire.' This victory led them to represent Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest, where they achieved an impressive third place, trailing only behind Germany and Turkey. Following this success, Ovi and Seling collaborated again on the track 'We Got Something.'

Ovi's songwriting prowess was further highlighted in two thousand twelve when he contributed to the Melodi Grand Prix as a songwriter for Reidun Sæther's 'High on Love,' which qualified for the final. His contributions to music have not gone unnoticed, as he was awarded the Popularity Award at the two thousand nine Golden Stag Festival in Romania.

In two thousand fourteen, Ovi returned to the Eurovision stage alongside Paula Seling with their entry 'Miracle.' That same year, he co-wrote 'She's After My Piano' for the group 2 Fabiola, which, despite not winning the Belgian national selection, became a significant hit. Ovi later recorded his own version of the song for his album 'A Bit of Pop Won't Hurt Anyone,' released on May fifth, two thousand fourteen.
