Owain Fôn Williams

Owain Fôn Williams, born on March seventeenth, nineteen eighty-seven, is a distinguished Welsh professional football coach and former player, currently serving as the head of goalkeeping for EFL League One side Bolton Wanderers.

Throughout his career as a goalkeeper, Williams made an impressive two hundred seventy-one appearances in the English Football League. His journey included significant stints at Tranmere Rovers, where he played one hundred sixty-one matches, as well as contributions to Crewe Alexandra, Stockport County, Bury, and Rochdale.

Williams also showcased his talent internationally, playing for Scottish clubs such as Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Hamilton Academical, and Dunfermline Athletic, and even ventured to the United States to represent Indy Eleven.

A former Welsh youth international, Williams earned his first call-up to the senior Wales team in two thousand nine, ultimately making his debut in two thousand fifteen. He was part of the historic Wales squad that reached the semi-finals of UEFA Euro two thousand sixteen, marking a significant achievement in his international career.
