Owen Lloyd, born on April thirtieth, nineteen fifty-seven, in North Vancouver, British Columbia, is a former professional ice hockey defenceman known for his contributions to the sport during the late seventies.
In the nineteen seventy-seven NHL amateur draft, Lloyd was selected seventy-seventh overall by the Cleveland Barons. That same year, he was also picked eighty-fifth overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the WHA Amateur Draft, marking the beginning of his professional career.
During the nineteen seventy-seven to seventy-eight season, Lloyd made his mark by playing three games for the Oilers in the WHA, where he recorded one assist and accumulated four penalty minutes. His journey in ice hockey also saw him play for various minor league teams, including the Phoenix Roadrunners and Houston Apollos in the Central Hockey League, as well as the Springfield Indians in the American Hockey League and the Milwaukee Admirals in the International Hockey League.
