Özbeg Khan, also known as Giyas ad-Din Muhammad Uzbek Khan, was born in the year 1282 and ascended to the throne as the Khan of the Golden Horde in 1313. His reign, which lasted until 1341, marked a significant period in the history of the Golden Horde, as he became the longest-reigning khan of the state.

Under Özbeg Khan's leadership, the Golden Horde reached its zenith, showcasing a flourishing of culture, trade, and political power. His governance was characterized by a strong central authority and the expansion of the khanate's influence across vast territories.

Özbeg Khan was the son of Toghrilcha and the grandson of Mengu-Timur, who had previously ruled the Golden Horde from 1266 to 1280. Following his death in 1341, he was succeeded by his son Tini Beg, ensuring the continuation of his lineage and the legacy of his impactful rule.
