P. R. Sreejesh

P. R. Sreejesh, born on May eighth, nineteen eighty-six, is a distinguished Indian field hockey player and coach. Renowned for his exceptional skills as a goalkeeper, he has made significant contributions to the sport, leading the India national field hockey team as captain. His leadership was instrumental in securing bronze medals at both the twenty twenty and twenty twenty-four Olympic Games.

Throughout his illustrious career, Sreejesh has been recognized for his outstanding performances, receiving the prestigious FIH Men's Goalkeeper of the Year award in the years twenty twenty, twenty twenty-two, and twenty twenty-four. His dedication to the sport has also earned him several national honors, including the Arjuna Award in two thousand fifteen, the Padma Shri in two thousand seventeen, the Khel Ratna in two thousand twenty-one, and the Padma Bhushan in two thousand twenty-five.

In addition to his achievements as a player, Sreejesh has transitioned into coaching, currently serving as the head coach of the Indian men's U21 team and the Delhi SG Pipers in the Hockey India League.
