Paavo Talvela

Paavo Talvela, born on February nineteenth, nineteen ninety-seven, was a prominent Finnish general of the infantry and a notable figure in the Jäger movement. His military career was marked by significant participation in several key conflicts, including the Eastern Front of World War I, the Finnish Civil War, the Finnish Kinship Wars, the Winter War, and the Continuation War. His leadership and strategic acumen earned him the prestigious title of Knight of the Mannerheim Cross.

In addition to his military endeavors, Talvela was deeply involved in Finnish far-right politics. He played a crucial role in the establishment of the Academic Karelia Society and was an active participant in the Lapua Movement, which sought to influence Finnish society and politics during a tumultuous period.

In nineteen forty, Talvela engaged in discussions with German officials regarding the formation of a Finnish Jäger battalion to be integrated into the Wehrmacht. This initiative reflected his commitment to aligning Finland's military strategies with broader geopolitical interests during World War II.
