Pablo Ibáñez

Pablo Ibáñez Tébar, born on August 3, 1981, in Madrigueras, Spain, is a distinguished former professional footballer who made his mark as a centre back. His football journey began in the youth ranks of Albacete, where he played a pivotal role in the club's promotion from the Segunda División to La Liga in two thousand three.

In two thousand four, Pablo signed with Atlético Madrid, where he became a key player, making nearly two hundred appearances over six seasons. His time at Atlético was not without controversy, particularly when a presidential candidate for city rivals Real Madrid suggested a potential transfer deal. Despite this, Pablo solidified his position in the team, contributing to a commendable fourth-place finish in two thousand eight.

As his tenure at Atlético came to a close, Pablo found himself playing less frequently, leading to his move to England in two thousand ten. He spent a season with Premier League side West Bromwich Albion before joining Birmingham City, where he played for two seasons in the Football League Championship.
