Paetongtarn Shinawatra

Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Paetongtarn Shinawatra

Paetongtarn Shinawatra, born on August twenty-first, nineteen eighty-six, is a prominent Thai politician and businesswoman. She is a member of the influential Shinawatra family, being the youngest child of Thaksin Shinawatra, who served as the twenty-third prime minister of Thailand, and the niece of Yingluck Shinawatra, the twenty-eighth prime minister. After completing her education at Chulalongkorn University and the University of Surrey, she embarked on a career in business before transitioning into the political arena.

In two thousand twenty-four, Paetongtarn made history by becoming the youngest prime minister of Thailand, as well as the first prime minister whose parent had previously held the office. She led the Pheu Thai Party from two thousand twenty-three until her resignation in two thousand twenty-five, marking her as the second woman to assume the role of prime minister, following her aunt.

Her tenure was marked by significant events, including her appointment as Minister of Culture on June thirtieth, two thousand twenty-five. However, her time in office was cut short when she was suspended by the Constitutional Court on July first, two thousand twenty-five, due to a controversial leaked phone call with former Cambodian leader Hun Sen amid a border conflict. Following her suspension, deputy prime minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit stepped in as acting leader.

On August twenty-ninth, two thousand twenty-five, the Constitutional Court ruled against her, officially removing her from office. Despite the challenges she faced, Paetongtarn's political journey remains a significant chapter in Thailand's contemporary history.
